Born and raised in Burgundy, the birthplace of Pinot Noir, Sébastien's journey has come full circle. After two decades in America, he honors his roots by producing a flagship wine with the iconic Pinot Noir grape, capturing the essence of his winemaking heritage.

MEET THE TEAM
Sébastien Marquet and Eric Sinclair met at a wine tasting in Virginia back in 2011. Both food and wine lovers, they connected instantly. The two launched the Sébastien Marquet label in 2023 with the release of the 2019 Brut and 2021 Pinot Noir.

Marquet’s reputation on the international scale in California, East Coast, Pacific Northwest and France, has given him a faithful following.
His award-winning wines from across the globe, including Oregon, Virginia, Napa, Sonoma, and France, are a testament to his ability to consistently produce quality wine.
His expertise lies in terroir, which is an important factor when considering his ability to produce wine from various vineyards and wine regions. With over 35 years in the industry, Sébastien, a true Burgundian made his first legitimate wine in Volnay at the age of 16. Five years later, he took on a job to solo manage a 54-hectare Domaine in Languedoc-Roussillon, where he pruned endless rows of vines from dawn to dusk, in addition to producing 40,000 cases of the wine. Sébastien took his winemaking career across the pond to the USA, where he produced award-winning wines on both coasts, with accolades from top critiques in countless competitions. Branching out in 2011, Sebastien offered his expertise and knowledge through his consulting firm and has been the catalyst for the success of dozens of top wineries throughout the nation. He has seen and done it all!
Eric Sinclair
CFO
Eric started his wine journey in 1999 when he moved to Adelaide, Australia. Throughout his career as an electrical engineer and a seasoned leader in operations and management in telecommunications, he had a chance to be based near some of the most renowned wine regions in the world. Through his travels and wine exploration in Australia, New Zealand, France, Italy, Canada and the United States, Eric became an avid wine enthusiast, with deep appreciation for the richness and diverse cultural and sensory aspects of wine and food crafted with love and respect for the terroir.
As the company’s CFO and operations leader, Eric is committed to lead with a conscious business and sustainability model through initiatives such as reduction of our carbon footprint and promote ethical sourcing practices, all while maintaining a commitment to exceptional wine quality and the company’s financial health and overall growth.
Eric is also a certified wine specialist, having successfully passed the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 2 with distinction and preparing for Level 3.
